Transition to the new standard – GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”
The order No. 606-OD “On Re-registration of Accreditation Certificates ” has been issued on 16.07.2020 in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No.285 “On Imposition of the State of Emergency” dated 15 March 2020, Article 22 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Accreditation in the Field of Conformity Assessment” and on the basis of the minutes of the Commission of the National Center for Accreditation Material Consideration No.54 dated 08 July 2020.
Subject to the aforesaid order the calibration and testing laboratory of “MedExpert Kazakhstan” LLP has successfully accepted the updated standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”.
We would like to remind that the Euro-Asian Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (Minutes No.55-2019) adopted the interstate standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” dd. June 28, 2019; this standard is identical to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 enacted in the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 01, 2019 by the Order of the Chairman.
The new version of the standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025 ‒ 2019 has the following differences in comparison with the version of 2009:
1. Commitment to risk assessment;
2. New structure;
3. Focus on processes;
4. Increased attention to information technologies, in particular, emphasizing the fact of increasing use of electronic documents;
5. Glossary revision;
6. Inclusion of the latest versions of standard ISO 9001-2015.
